Now here's something we cannot wait for... a computer that you can use 2 or 3 seconds after being switched on.
The concept is being tested by Microsoft for the next version of its Windows operating system. Seconds after switching on your computer you would be able to use specific applications, such as Internet Explorer, meaning you can start work more quickly.
In the meantime all the other stuff your computer does when you switch it on happens in the background. We think this is a long overdue idea and look forward to it coming in. But while you wait for it, if you're frustrated by how long your current computer is taking to start up, give us a call. There are often lots of things you can do to make starting up faster and more efficient.
